Blocked Toilets
A toilet that fills to the brim or won't flush needs sorting fast. We shift whatever is stuck in the pan and the line beyond it, then confirm the flow before we go.
When shifting sand works into the joints of old earthenware house drains around Bribie Island, blocked drains, sewers, stormwater lines and toilets soon follow, so call (07) 3522 5670.
If we're late, $100 comes off your bill
Here's what our drain services cover, from a single slow sink to a collapsed sewer line:

A toilet that fills to the brim or won't flush needs sorting fast. We shift whatever is stuck in the pan and the line beyond it, then confirm the flow before we go.

Gurgling vents, slow fixtures everywhere and smells around the yard point to the sewer line between house and main. We get it running again that day and tell you what caused it.

Downpipes and surface drains that overflow in a downpour leave water pooling at your foundations. We open the stormwater line up so the next storm has somewhere to go.

Kitchen sinks, showers, laundry tubs and floor wastes all slow down over time. We scour them clean with an electric eel or jet blasting and bring the flow back.

When the same drain keeps blocking, a camera inspection shows why. You see where the fault sits and what it means before any repair is decided on.

Cracked, root-damaged or collapsed pipes need more than clearing. We dig out and replace the broken section or reline it as an option, and explain which suits your place.

Bribie Island Blocked Drain Services is the blocked drain service for Bribie Island, Bongaree and Bellara. We unblock toilets, sewer and stormwater lines and fixture drains, and we fix the pipes underneath them.
Most of our work is in detached houses and units built between the 1950s holiday-boom era and the canal estates of the 1980s and later. The business is locally owned and operated, not a franchise.

Houses built before PVC went in everywhere sit on old clay drain lines joined at short intervals, and each of those socket joints turns weak once the surrounding sand starts moving. A place from the bridge era or earlier is almost certainly running on them.
When a joint cracks under the island's sand, groundwater drags sediment into the pipe and it settles at the first low spot. That low spot is where your blockage forms.
The clubs, hotels, cafes and supermarket centres along Goodwin Drive and Sunderland Drive feed grease into shared sewer lines. If you live or run a business near those strips, grease may already be sitting in your shared line.
Paperbarks and eucalypts love a leaking joint, and a root mass that starts small grows every dry spell. Once roots are in, the pipe never fully clears until the breach is fixed.
Drain backing up right now? Three quick checks:

Catching a blockage early usually means an easier fix, so watch for these:
the problem usually sits in that branch, not the main line.
trapped air points to a restriction somewhere downstream.
the shared line can't take the extra flow.
a broken outside pipe is leaking into the sand.

These are the factors that move a quote:
a drain under a concreted carport near First Avenue costs more to reach than one under open lawn.
deep earthenware lines take longer to work than shallow PVC.
grease and soft blockages shift quickly; roots or a sand-filled line take longer.
repeat blockages usually deserve a look down the line before anyone commits to a fix.
One honest note: if the fault sits in Unitywater's sewer main under the street, that line belongs to Unitywater and their crew handles it. We'll say so straight away and point you the right way.

The waterways threading through the Banksia Beach estates were dug where a natural creek once ran, so those streets shed runoff into engineered channels rather than a creek bed. Stormwater lines there carry what nature used to handle.
The island's biggest inundation threat is storm tide out of Moreton Bay and the Passage. Council's flood history notes the 2017 Ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie surge came close to a rare storm tide level, and only missed it because it didn't line up with high water.
Rain soaks straight into the fresh groundwater sitting in the island's sand, so trenches on the urban south can meet water early. That matters for any dig-down repair, and it's why we check before we quote one.
From the bridge landing to the surf side, we cover the whole urban south of the island. Our run takes in Bongaree, Bellara, Banksia Beach, Woorim and White Patch.

On (07) 3522 5670, run through which fixtures are slow, gurgling or overflowing, so the plumber on the way knows where to start.

Once the cause is clear we explain the fix and quote a fixed upfront price, and nothing starts until you say yes.

We shift the blockage with an electric eel or jet blasting from the nearest access point, working the line until water moves through it freely.
We run water through the line until it drains freely and show you the result before we pack up.

Ring in the morning and we can usually have a plumber at your drain the same day. How the run falls on the day decides it, so the earlier you call, the better.
Your house drain is yours, but the sewer main under the street belongs to Unitywater. If the fault sits in their main, it's their crew's job, and we'll tell you straight away.
Wet wipes, paper towel, cotton buds, fats and oils. On a sandy island, anything that settles just adds to what the sand has already dropped in the low spots.
A CCTV camera down the line puts the fault on screen: a root mass, a cracked joint or washed-in sand. You see what we see before deciding on any repair.
